Packed with festive flavours, these creamy overnight oats are Christmas themed with the gingerbread spices and typical ingredients of rolled oats, chia seeds and milk. They're perfect for making ahead of time for a fuss-free Christmas morning.note - ingredients can be approximate
In a large container or 2 jars, mix 1 cup rolled oats, 2 tbsp chia seeds¼ cup Greek yogurt, 1 ¾ cups milk, 2 tsp ground cinnamon, ½ tsp ground ginger, ¼ tsp allspice, ¼ tsp ground cloves, 1 tsp molasses, ¼ cup protein until combined.
Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours) to let the oats and chia seeds absorb the liquid and thicken. If you made the two serves together, you can store as one and separate in the morning or separate now for convenience.
Stir in the morning, adjusting with a splash of milk if needed. Serve cold or warm in the microwave, and top with yoghurt, fresh fruit, jam, or cookies for a festive touch.
